Bayfront Place

Welcome to Chula Vista!

Bayfront Place was designed to create a transit village that would successfully serve the needs of the neighborhood, as well as community members in the City of Chula Vista, and South San Diego County. This master plan expanded on the site’s existing opportunities: the trolley station, freeway access to I-5, city gateway potential, proximity to a proposed harbor development and other amenities such as hotels, stores, restaurants, apartments, a school and the nature preserve. To leverage these opportunities, Bayfront Place was planned as a gateway to the city, featuring a community plaza with supporting uses at a renovated trolley station. The master planning concept called for a pedestrian-oriented residential neighborhood with a variety of housing types and price points including: row homes, live-work lofts and apartment homes.
