NCTD Communications and Graphic Design

On time communications

Transit agencies have complex roles. They report to federal agencies, partner with local jurisdictions, and deliver services 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Over a two-year period, we demonstrated our team’s capacity to deliver on the range of communication needs NCTD had, including:

AS NEEDED DESIGN SUPPORT: We developed collaterals for the SPRINTER’S 5th anniversary, in-train bulkhead display posters to promote the agency’s social media resources, and signage for opening hours and EV parking.

WAYFINDING: To improve wayfinding systems, we engaged “test users” who had never used transit to provide feedback. We used this feedback to design a wayfinding signage system at the Oceanside Transit Center facility where over 1 million transit
riders pass through each year.

COMMUTER TRANSIT RESEARCH STUDY: Through this study, we conducted hundreds of intercept surveys, online surveys and stakeholder interviews to identify opportunities to overcome barriers and market benefits of transit use to commuters and to their employers.

LIFT: We oversaw research for the performance of NCTD’s service provider for the LIFT paratransit services. The goal was to identify specific areas of improvement to potentially renegotiate parts of this vendor contract.
